Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
Here are many of them crowded around the waterer that I had forgotten to return full the night before so they were thirsty. :(
if you have that many outside, you might consider 5gal waterer. i only have to fill it 1-2x per week. i also keep a 2.5 gal waterer in there too.

i had a little “incident” this afternoon. i’m not exactly sure if my temp is a little hot or if I mixed up some eggs, but I had 2 of the SF hatch in the brinsea before i removed the turner!!! one little guy was stuck on the side but he looks to be ok now that I got the turner out and moved them to the brooder.

OMG. Each successive round of quail get bigger and bigger. Pretty soon they'll be bantams. Pics forthcoming.

FWIW, I think it's because my first rounds were smaller than they should have been -- my inexperience.

Just captured a great pic of one of the albino ladies:

I just built this small cage for them, I plan to make a thread for it later, but she looked so pretty! They just moved outside, and she can definitely still see. I have them under the porch, in a shady, darker, corner, with a good amount of tarp overhang, because I don’t want them losing their sight.
