I might keep them in until day 8. I candled them again today and there's still nothing inside them.

By day 8, you should be able to see veins and the "spider" (embryo).

Oh, you meant that they're not showing any signs of development at all, not that they're hatching and you're waiting for stragglers.

I start pulling clears around day 9.

Well the eggs are set right now marks day 0. I was only able to set 28 as 2 of my girls didn’t lay today but the two will be filled tomorrow a one day staggered hatch shouldn’t be to bad right? I will update when I candle it seems like I’m going to have to hand turn haha my quail turning tray seems to be made for buttons and doesn’t turn all of the eggs.

Well, I guess I should be glad I didn't unplug the incubator last night like I'd planned to. I came out this morning to one last, loud, late chick.

Removed eight infertile eggs today. There definitely is nothing inside them at all.

There of my fertile eggs are doing great, but I think the other one is a quitter
The veins are only on one side of the egg and I can't see movement anymore. I can only see a few veins now. I'm leaving it in, but I don't think it'll make it.

The other three are moving around a lot. I can see their hearts beating, and one is wiggling about so much!
I'm super excited, putting them into lockdown in seven days!

Oh yeah, they move around quite a bit at that stage!

In the video I posted a few weeks ago, you can see the heart beating.

Can we see a pic of that....I've never seen a turner that small!!!

Nickel and dime for reference it sits less than a cm above the floor of the incubator and the eggs don’t touch the bottom and will not turn I ended up adding the chicken turner and putting 3 in each slot turns fine I busted out my older incubator for the extra 7 eggs
