Need to start a new thread in medicals. Work too busy to get her segregated. She is eating, just not much. Will get to it tomorrow. Just not her normal self.

Crop has water in it. Small. Keel bone prominent. Pale comb. Lethargic. Green/black poo where she sleeps. She is not roosting but sleeping in the nest box.

No Floppy is not Broody. Floppy went broody this spring. High strung thing that she is. The one with the chicks is doing fine. Mothering and teaching them to eat. They are fine in the tractor. Everyone can see and visit them. So funny watching the little ones wade through the grass.

I've got a wwyd question for you folks... I seriously want a rooster but technically they're illegal within city limits. I actually did have one at one point but he was a young cockerel, 10 weeks or so old, and would harass the dogs. One day I forgot I left him out and came home to find him dead killed by them. They don't bother the girls but he would chase them and I guess he finally got on their last nerve, but I digress. That being said several of the backyard chicken keepers i know have them. My own next door neighbor had a RIR roo that they got rid of bc he was a jerk not bc of complaints. Anywho should I go with the flow and just get my roo or be a good girl and follow the rules?
