Lady, you put us all to shame with your daily labor. Here I thought I was a busy body.I don't let the chickens in the garden...too zealous! But they do get the cooked elderberries when I make jelly. They scarf them down.
Grafting is so much fun! May have to try the cherry.
Was able to work in the garden some today before the rain. Hubby helped me set the timbers around the 16 X 20 bed. Then he brought up three more tractor scoops of good top soil for me. Because the ground is still too wet for the huge tractor, he dropped it over the garden fence.
I used the Kubota to move the dirt into the bed, made the pathways, smoothed the 4 beds and planted okra seed. Then it started to sprinkle. Gathered up my tools and ran to the house.
Do try the cherry grafting! Do you have a tree to graft in mind? Here is the Italian prune grafted onto the ornamental plum. I love that the leaf color is different. It'll be even cooler when there are both pink and white blossoms.
