On a totally seperate note, does anyone know how hard it is to handle a sawzall? Like if I try to cut a hole out of this coop without waiting for husband to come home, am I going to make a total ugly mess and/or chop a finger off?
Depends on how strong you are and how strong the wood is you’re cutting. Sawzall will cut pretty much anything. Make sure the blade is sharp.
 
You might not get a totally straight line, everything tends to vibrate with it, but you'll get the job done. You can always clean up the edges, sand down, or cover with trim later if they aren't neat enough for your liking ;)
Yep, not exactly straight but it’s a line alright. Easier than I thought it would be, except the stupid battery died.

It vibrates a lot.
You can do it because I can!

You won't cut anything off.

I didn't know they even made battery operated ones.
I always have to pay attention to make sure I keep the cord out of the way.

You have to get one that takes the same batteries as something you have

I even have a battery chainsaw and pole saw and hedge trimmer and weed eater
