Good Morning all you lovely people!

DH has been gone all this week on business so it's just been my son and I here. He'll be home tonight.

I can manage everything around here with the animals and whatnot but boy will I be glad when he is back. The littles are doing great and growing like crazy. I swear they are currently in a growth spurt. Jasmine's feathers are still.. eh. She is still fuzzy soft but they don't look as "frizzled" as they did since they've gotten longer.
She still has quite the "bustle" feathers (as I call them. The bump of feathers on the backside by the tail. Not sure what they are technically called) and her tail feathers still look "frayed" and funky to me though.
I'm still watching her as she develops. No I haven't reached out to Meyer.
My Blue Ameraucana, Violet, is FINALLY getting in her fluffy cheeks. I was getting worried because my EE's were born with fluffy cheeks. Violet didn't. Even according to Meyer's website, "Ameraucanas always have both beards and muffs" and poor Violet still looked like this:
as of April 16th.
A week later she started looking like this:
I was like, ooh, I am starting to see some cheeks!
And this was yesterday:
She is filling out very nicely.

I went to lock up the chickens for the night last night and I always open the door and look inside to make sure everyone is accounted for. I open the big coop and I'm counting, 1, 2, 3, etc. Ok, all 8 are here.. what the....?!? In the corner, underneath the roost bars is a little dark brown fluff.

Sunny! What are you doing in here? The chick flew over and out of the 4ft tall fence that I have around the littles coop and since she couldn't find her way back in, she decided that she would join the big girls and boys in the big coop. I called her over to me and picked her up and took her back to her flock mates in the little coop. I wish I would've gotten a pic of her. Such a stinker!
On a non-chicken related subject. My son has his graduation rehearsal this morning and the big day is tomorrow.

Graduating Magna Cum Laude (would've been Summa Cum Laude if they took GPAs after the final semester but they take them beforehand. Missed it by [this] much lol) and with double degrees, an AS and a A.A.S. He is still debating on whether or not he wants to continue his education, if he wants to pursue employment, or go in to the Military. He's just not sure which branch. I am such a proud momma!
