It was all delicious though and worth it! But wow 5 meals!? For us that’d only be one probably lol

But honestly it’s not that absurd when you compare with other places. McDonalds which is way grosser and not fresh food is like the same price or more and even Panera my mom and I spent like a ton there a few days ago for not much
There are folks who eat out, and folks that don't. I don't eat out. It's a waste of money.

We love cooking around here. Even if it's just the two of us, we always make breakfast and dinner. Trying new recipes is always fun too. Far more enjoyable than going out and sitting at some sticky table for someone else to make you low quality food and overcharge you for it.

For what it's worth, if you think that the "experience" of going out is more important than what you put in your body, I think you will have a VERY hard time changing your ways. You have to truly want to change to do so, and it doesn't really sound like that is the case. This is not intended to lecture you, it's just an observation.

I guess people who like to eat out, buy new, buy everytime a new version comes out, are the ones that keep the economy going.

McDonalds often runs different deals that make it cheaper. My younger brother, who is not great at eating healthy, can get two burgers and fries for $8.

That’s understandable, it’s not for everyone! And it probably is a waste but it’s fun sometimes.

We do cook too, btw. We don’t always go out but it’s fun sometimes. Breakfast I usually do try to make myself (although we do occasionally go out to breakfast or brunch but that’s usually very rare or on certain holidays) but I do eat out way more for lunch and dinner but we do make dinner too. Although lately we haven’t been cooking much. And sometimes my parents don’t make anything so then I go out. Although they’ve been starting to cook more but still.

Anyway, all that said, you must not have very good restaurants around you because I’ve never experienced sticky tables or low quality food around here. I mean, I’m sure I must have had bad experiences at some places before, but it’s usually very good. And we tons of very good local places (not chains) here. We do have a lot of chains too which we go to sometimes but they’re definitely way overpriced and horrible, the only ones I like are Chili’s and Texas Roadhouse which are both fairly reasonable/cheap anyway, but the local places, the quality is all excellent. We have one place in particular that we go to all the time and we have never had a bad experience there. And we go there a lot.

But I know that wasn’t the point of that post/statement at all and was a generalization/exaggeration but I’m just saying.

And yeah, that’s a good point too. And last night we definitely should not have gone out or at least should have gone to a healthier place but it was late and I didn’t want to cook or wait forever at a restaurant. We were also both starving. Probably bad.

So I definitely need to start cooking more.

But idk, I do think it is fun sometimes, which I don’t think is so wrong to think, but I do also want to change. I know it doesn’t seem like I do but I definitely do but it’s just eating out is fun sometimes. But I probably do it too much which is the problem. But I have been doing both lately. Eating lots of salads and vegetables and healthy stuff but still also eating the bad stuff. I definitely need to work on cutting the bad stuff out completely but at least I’m not eating the bad stuff exclusively anymore like I used to.

But I think what I need to do is just completely cut out eating out for lunch and dinner and start making myself food at home all the time and then only going out sometimes like on birthdays or holidays or something and with other people instead of all the time or all by myself or something. Cause that’s bad and definitely a waste of money and I’m trying to save money hah but on the bright side I haven’t been eating at Subway or Panera much anymore. I used to go there like almost every day. But I haven’t been lately.

But we do tend to eat out for birthdays but I don’t think that’s that terrible. And we usually go to the same place anyway which actually has pretty healthy stuff sometimes but definitely adds up.

But we have eaten out a ton this week which is bad. But after this week we are going to be better I think or at least I am.

Because we’ve been to Panera Bread, Five Guys, Outback, and now today The Ninety Nine (99? Not sure if it’s spelled out or not). And the Panera and Outback was the same day.

But today is Mother’s Day which is the only reason we’re going out.

And also I was good today for once. I was going to get this and got this instead. I am sure I will hate it and have anxiety already from it cause I REALLY wanted the chicken because I wanted something I know I will like and usually get (it’s a meal I’ve gotten similar from lots of other places) and I’ve never had salmon before and hate asparagus usually so I didn’t want to get it. I wanted to get something enjoyable and familiar since we are out to eat and also it’s raining, good day for “comfort food” LOL and it’s cheap too, $9.99, one of like 10 meals they have for $10. So it would have been the smarter choice money wise. But after our conversation earlier and thinking about how bad I have eaten recently, I decided to go the healthy route. We will see if I like it. But at least I tried to make a good decision.

And I know the price is probably going to cause discussion/issues too since I am sure I can get way more salmon, salad and asparagus at home for the price.

And it is the fit for you fresh salmon one not the balsamic one.

Even though we eat out a lot and sometimes but new stuff and so splurge on band merch (my other bad habit  ) I do also buy at thrift shops and stuff so we do both and aren't entirely new everything.

Oh wow that is cheap!

They sure are! Your neighbor is one of them!

Yeah he definitely sounds like one lol

It just arrived and actually looks delicious. Lol

Forgot to post the menus too last time so here is what I wasn’t gonna get and what I got. And the pic of it.

Turns out it was delicious and I loved it and ate the entire thing and skipped dessert lol

I did eat a bit of popcorn at the beginning (they do popcorn instead of bread or chips) but it was really salty so I didn’t eat much and I don’t think popcorn is the worst thing in the world compared to what I’ve eaten lately. And I just got water. Both my parents got diet root beer and I thought about getting a regular root beer because I do love root beer and they got them and it was the good bottled kind with a chilled glass but I don’t really like soda anymore lately so I just got a water.

But clearly I liked it LOL
