Lauren heard someone and turned around.She saw a woman, she turned away quickly, feeling as if she shouldn't stare.She got up went to a small water fountain and got a drink.Hse looked at the woman again and waved,"Good Afternoon!"she called.

Aya looked to the person who had said "good afternoon" to her and gave her a half-hearted smile.
"Good afternoon to you, too." She replied in a nice tone.

Lauren wasn't sure what say but replied simply,"Thank You"she pulled her hair back into a ponytail and walked away toward her car.

Vanessa tried not to look too pleased with his consent. "Very good. Jaxson, get her up," she said briskly. "We'll get her out of your way so you can clean up and move to more important things."

Jaxson went to Artemis' side to help her up from the floor.

Artemis weakly began to lift herself from the floor, but the support of the wall wasn't enough to keep her standing. She moaned in pain at the effort.

Vanessa turned on her heel and crossed the room, opening the door for them. "Come," she said hurriedly, anxious to get the girl out before Mythe could change his mind.

Vanessa stepped back to allow them room to get through the door, side by side, then followed, letting the door close with a slam. "Get to the elevator, then remove those cuffs," she told Jaxson in a low whisper.
Jaxson nodded, understanding that it wouldn't be safe to do it right now, right here by the door should Mythe come out. "Can you walk?" He asked Artemis, noting her shakiness as he took hold of her arms.
