I have a half dozen eggs under my perpetually broody bantam cochin, at the moment. they're from my EE bantam hen by a rose comb Nankin rooster ... ought to be an interesting mix. My EE hen lays the prettiest little aqua egg. I'm hoping to get a least one or two pullets to take after their Mama. Any "roo-lets" will likely be the foundation of my next bachelor flock. I miss the antics and the eye candy!

I hatched alot of EEs from my flock about 5 weeks ago. I'll try to get pictures. They are results of direct crosses of pure Ameraucana rooster or hen and either Phoenix, Orpington or Spitzhauben.

Since people are sharing about their EEs, here is my first and only EE, Cleopatra. She is about 4 weeks old. What's been interesting with having an EE is trying to guess what she'll look like. Her initial wing feathers were gold and black, but then she started getting some dark grey/blue near the tail, and then just yesterday she sprouted this beautiful blonde on her belly and legs! I wonder what she will look like as an adult hen, and what color egg she will lay.

My aunt bought a EE she looks like a splash Americauna though! She is gorgeous, growing, flighty and sassy! I want her she is so beautiful!

I have 3 pullets as shown in picture. I bought 4 but as you can all see "Henry" is neither female or an EE!?!. My girls are very flighty but they are the youngest of new chicks added this year, question is this scared attitude normal for EE? View attachment 3223236
