10" wide entry to nesting boxes...

Do I need to start over? I'm not sure how this happened. Five of them for 15 hens in 8x8 coop.

Nesting box on the house. Looks good. Not sure what your average chicken weighs, but these boxes solid enough for several pterodactyl.

I use a ten inch wide entrance. They will only use 1 nesting box! For 10 hens I have 4 nesting boxes and they only use one haha. But they do sometimes go to different ones. Rarely!

There are some that even have a 12” entry so you’re fine.

Okay. Each entry is actually 10 and 5/8. It looks okay to the eye, but research freak me out a little bit.

For sure. Made some big changes yesterday. Last weekend some mistakes were made with framing... Combination of fatigue and cold beers. Set me back a day. Also doing this solo with a little help from father in-law who is without a doubt amazing for his age, but some things can be a challenge... Both in terms of communication and physical tasks.

Is this your first flock or you’ve had others before?
Yeah, you’ll eventually keep adding especially if you have the means to. They are so addicting and entertaining!
