10wk old lavender Araucana are they boys or girls? Please help

With araucanas you get something called tufts. Not all have them because similair to frizzles you don't want to cross two frizzled birds. You don't want to cross two tufted birds because two tuft genes is fatal. But tufts are the weird feathers that stick off from the face.

Thanks I'm trying to decide which Araucana male to keep my females don't have the tufts which male would you keep? My female looks like the one on the left

Also my black babies are heritage black Australorps 3 boys and 2 girls I believe lol all my chicks are 10 weeks I really lucked out for layers hey

Thank you I love Chilli he is the one with the tufts but I'm concerned now because I was told it is a fatal gene that causes it and I'm not sure what that means if I hatched chickens from him

No I'm swapping 4 of my boys for some chicks... I'd really like to raise my own laying hens as we live on 10acres and my 4 old girls love it here free ranging during the day. My family are always after my girls eggs and there are never enough lol.
