Yeah! They were confused all right! The young ones ventured out, the older ones stayed inside (I think it's called wisdom)

nah, too uncomfy for that.

Oh everything was still white for Christmas and we got more on Christmas and into Sat. It's a winter wonderland but the chickens are going for it. I opened the pop door and they stuck their heads out and were like, what? You want me to go out in this? And then one hen stood in it with one foot up. brr, she said, you put a fleece lined saddle on my back and you don't get me booties???

Nice pictures

My chickens stayed in for 2 days. The older girls didn't care but the pullets wanted out, so after we fixed the fencing which had collapsed under the 2 feet of snow we had, I opened the door. They all started out, first in line came to a screeching halt which caused a pile up behind her. I had to coax them out with scrambled egg. Then they decided that eating snow was a pretty cool thing to do.

Snows melted away now and they are happy to have their run back

22 " for December here in Nebraska. Two day Blizzard winds blew drifts up to 10 feet in spots. Took us 2 days to dig the driveway out. Took me 1 hour to dig a path to check on the girls. Heck with getting the car out and getting some food in the house. The hens always take priority.
