I have 16 Ameraucana chickens: 3 cockerels, 10 pullets, and 3 that we're still not sure what sex they are.

They are 20 weeks old today.

This morning when my wife went to feed the little feathered babies, she found a little blue egg in one of their nests. It weighed one ounce exactly and was 1 and 3/4 of an inch long.

Then this afternoon when she went in to check on their food and water levels, she found another little blue pullet egg. It was pretty much the same size, weight and beautiful shade of blue that the earlier egg had been.

Neither hen signed their creation, so we don't know yet who our new egg layers are. Except that we're pretty certain that it's not one of the three known boys....
