i hope to bring in people of all ages :) and that it's fun, entertaining, and a learning experience for everyone. i want to try and have the annual show sometime in June or July (spring break for everyone in school) and maybe a summer and fall show as well, but all this will have to come a bit later on. i also want to try and have not only the president/board meetings maybe once a month but aslo club meetings, swaps, and over all get together's every few months or so what ever is decided in the meeting(s). have a lot of idea's but the club does need to get it's "feet" off the ground first.

Mr. Foster said..It sounds good to me. If you would please let me know what time and date it would be good.Anytime after 4:30 would be great. They have a auction in anacoco on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays.

[FONT=times new roman, new york, times, serif]Greetings everyone,

[FONT=times new roman, new york, times, serif] Just want to give you an update of what is going on with the makings of the club. So far no one has really pitch in an idea of where to hold the meeting. I threw this one out there today so I can get this club rolling, finish up the flyers and fellow poultry fans can plan free up there scheduled accordingly if they want to attend.

"Well there are several restaurant along lake Charles highway, gas stations, and empty lots. I know this meeting isn't going to be hours, just more or less throw back and forth ideas.Just trying to get others in talking on here on where be a good place to meet....but if you want my opinion on picking a place, it would actually be at Sonic in Leesville. Trying to get the folks up in Alexandria area to come to the meeting. ...the one in Derrider is Always busy at least for me lol being right next to Walmart but it would be my second choice. They can eat food if they like or have on of those awesome drinks. We can sit down in the shade at the tables that they have and just talk and go over stuff. Plus if we go during Happy hour half price drinks.

Today I am creating a Agenda of topics to go over during the meeting...will post a copy once i finish it...Still have not heard anything back from those that I tried to contact about the meet n' greet. Thank you to those that got back to me :) Looking forward to meeting you all."

Again thank you all for your interest of the formation of a poultry club. If any of those places sound like a great place or want to be held at a different location, please contact me and let me know.

Regards,

Roxanne Sims"

sonic would be good depending on how many show up. happy hour can get a bit busy as well. i know the park outside of leesville by the golf course is nicely shaded as well. i'm really thinking the park would be the best place since we really have no clue on how many will be there. as for the time on sat. maybe the intentl meeting can be at 2 and then we could meet him about 5 some where's else and see what he thinks as well

i have been looking at other clubs as well for some fun ideas as well :) can't wait till the meeting. i have some things printed out (zapping up the ink as well lol).

how about this we hold it at the park at 2 and if we don't have a lot of people show up we can ask if those who are there would like to go up to sonic

lol i guess my break from here can wait a bit....

so far the ones that i have contacted and answered back with me must Really want to attend this meeting.

Mr. Foster ..not sure the location might be in the Derrider area
Mr. and Mrs Jones from leesville
Mr. Goudeau from Pineville

There is an interest for this club (there was over 200 hits on my ad on bookoo and over 60 from the updated one yesterday) and might have a few more show up in the formation of the club...but like I said earlier to you people want to participate but not in creating, take a lot of work involved to get this club up and running. Some might not have the time or drive to get this up and going. So... in all said if Mr. Foster wants to attend after 4:30..he agreed on the sonic idea of mine or would have said other wise..Mr. & Mrs Jones probable be happy with either location. They're locals and know there way around. Sending a text to Mr. Goudeau about if he want it at the park or sonic..Let you know what he says..if it sends lol might have to try again...

Looking up fundraisers ideas right now...

fundraisers ideas:

(i know most of this is going to cost a bit of money on the clubs part though)

hmmm i know this is kinda "old fashion" but a car wash
maybe do some grooming such as bathes and nails for other animals
give the members an option to buy club shirts
we could try to do a calender and maybe a coloring/activity book for kids
could try doing a pet show were the participents get certifiacts for participation and winning (would have to diceid on what to judge on)
bake sale

how about this we hold it at the park at 2 and if we don't have a lot of people show up we can ask if those who are there would like to go up to sonic
Why the 2 pm......:/ ? Place to me i really don't care...only reason for picking Sonic was for good self advertisment. Explain to the owners of sonic that would like permission to post a few flyers around since there spot was designated as a meeting area they probably be willing, since it might drawn them more buisness then usual. Plus word of mouth be quicker since a lot of folks like to go there.....I didn't know there is park close to the golf course on 171. Figure you were talking about the one right behind walmart.

2 is the beginning of happy hour we can have it later in the day what ever is best for those who want to attend. yea there is a park by the gold course then theres the new llano park behind walmart. wish they had a sonic in rospine then we could meet half way for everyone.

okay..just let me know exactly what time you choose and directions to the park...might drag the hubby to the golf course... send me a pm. I check my email more then on here.
