2015 breeding season

Its thin and short, here are some screen shots from the video:

I'm sure its not Gerbil, i have raised Gerbils in the past, they are smaller in size and fun to watch.

Well, he might be kind of fun to watch if he were somewhere other than your Peafowl pen. I just don't know, the head looks very rat-like to me, but the tail is too short. I wonder if he could be a plain old rat that lost the end of his tail, maybe to one of the cats?

They all have the same tail, i noticed their number decreased last month since the cats start to spend more time next to the pens, tomorrow i will start to put the new feeders which will be off the ground, hoping they will disappear this month, my only worry is that they will start to eat the eggs after they don't find the birds feed anymore.

Set my first fourteen pea eggs on the first of April! The GQF is full so we will do this first one in the Hatch Craft or move them over when some eggs come out and we have room. I have another six eggs waiting for the next setting date.

Are you hatching at this temp and humidity?! Or this picture was just after you closed the door?

The incubator was still coming up to temperature. This is a digitally controlled unit and has one of those scientific mercury thermometers attached to the front of the top shelf that I believe is closer to the truth than the little cheapos like the one you see here. The mercury one matches the digital readout on the side of the unit and reads 99.6. My GQF is set to 100.5 and the humidity in it is around the mid 40's. Hatch rate in it has been very good at those temps and I will probably move the pea eggs over to the GQF as soon as we get some chickens out of it.

Great, i was just worried about the temp, good luck with these eggs :)

Oh wow that is wonderful!! I hope they are fertile!

My peahen Shyanne has been pacing the pen for the past 2 days clucking. She is acting like my hens do when they are searching for a place to lay an egg, but she doesn't look like she is about to lay. Hopefully I will have some more eggs soon.
