I have a brinsea and i love how accurate and steady it is! I agree to never trust any single thermometer, u should always test them. I have an accurate reptile probe therm that i tested then used. Was about 10$ at a pet store. Good luck!

That would be great if you have it yet! then I can just go straight to it!  you see I have so many saved links I get lost at this point, with you I know where to go! :hugs

:woot :frow :clap :ya

:jumpy
Gotcha! fans will help, thats why I like the wafer thermostats, temps dont vary in a cooler,  did you ever think to make a cooler one because of the temps issues where your at?

Cute!
I ask my partner tonight on that cooler incubator he said there's a possibility he can make it for my son for a birthday present possibly jan.

Right, I wasn't sure how accurate the reading on the unit is though, I would hope considering how much it cost it would be pretty accurate, but all I've ever used is styrofoam, I want my first hatch to be a success.
If I don't trust the digital read out, what do I use?

In the article I put a ton of info and dif ways you can calibrate

https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

SCROLL to temp section.....

adding.... I also use the Spot check! its worth purchasing for the future

You should always check the temperature--It is very important compared to humidity.

Temps need to stay within one degree of 99.5
Humidity can be in a range of about 20% so not as critical.
Agree! NEVER EVER trust a thermometer, always calibrate!

Mine was low. My first hatch was slightly delayed.
oh bummer! you would think as much as they cost (even the styros are expensive for what they are) they should all be calibrated! This is why most people have bad hatches first time around, been there done it! Had no idea about calibration!

I ask my partner tonight on that cooler incubator he said there's a possibility he can make it for my son for a birthday present possibly jan.
They are so easy, trust me and you have all of us to give a hand when you need answers! I have links in my signature on both our cabinet cooler and reg coolerbator, explains the thermostats etc too!
