Hello everyone! Last year we hatched 9/12 eggs in our coolerbator from my father's RIR for his flock. This year we started our own flock and are hatching 4 ee/b.orp and 3 w.leg/b.orp eggs in a Brinsea. They are from a local lady and unfortunately the white ones were refrigerated, but we're giving them a shot anyway!

Set day: October 17:D

This hatch chart should be helpful and you should take the plug out and lose it..Let the cat play with or something. The day you set the eggs is always day one--there is no such thing as a day 0.....O is a place holder used in math and does not happen in the real world--You can have none of something but if you have any of something, you cannot have 0.
Thank you so much for the chart! I don't have a cat....yet....hahaha

I had to take my little Silkie/cross out and put her with another less playful chick. The ones in this pic were all pecking her feathers on her feet!

I know this is a horrible photo! For now it's the best I can do. Her eyes are closed and she still has matting.

She's an EE mix. Took me awhile but she's identical to the other EE

Hi! My daughter has eggs I sent her. They starting hatching today. Hers were in the fridge......about half of them. I marked the ones that were in there so am waiting to see her hatch report and.............what on earth hatches since my little silkie roo is getting around more than I thought he was......

so, of the 15 eggs under our broody, only one is showing any aign of development, and... While candling this morning I did not see any movement in this egg .

my refridge eggs are going strong!! welcome!!!!

It's at 37%.
thats fine!

Sorry this has taken me so long to get back you. Here's a new pic of Goldie. Frizzle wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a clear photo, but he does have feathers growing back down on his legs. He's such a big mess right now from his molt. I just started putting feather fixer in their feed in hopes it will help somewhat. He was so full and fluffy and beautiful in the Spring when we bought him.

I think your are mistaken!!! we saw HER out the other night with our hens at the Saloon here in PA!

SEE ... caught on the cam outside the saloon!

Lockdown time for my eggs! Expecting them to hatch Sunday. 6 out of 7 are still in! I am super excited. Its been a couple months since I've had babies.

I am thinking I might save for Svart Hona eggs in the spring instead of getting an order of hatchery chicks. Chicks in the mail is the most stressful experience I've had in chicken keeping so far.

My chickens almost died last night!!!!!!
My dog was barking so I got my torch looked into the darkness and saw a fox.
So I ran with my dog after the fox then I remembered I DIDN'T LOCK UP MY CHICKENS!!!!
But they were all alright.
