All the girls in my hatch are sold, a friend is getting 6 and another friend of a friend is taking 6, and I get to keep the CCL males and Luke claimed Godzilla now named SPOOK and HarmonyAnn claimed another and named her Pumpkin.

The pipper in the incubator was still alive this morning, the mom of the kid I watch talked me into letting him go over night, she freaked for him, I said ok just for you, but in the morning the bator stank so bad I needed to do something, I made its pip bigger , mind you its been pipped way way too long and its veins still huge and unabsorbed, this typically means it has an umbilical/intestical issue that it cannot or will not absorb, so it was just living in its shell like that, it was so sad, he was active and everything. I opened him up before the cull and his intestines grew on the outside, through a hole higher up and to the side, NOT where the umbilical where the yolk sack was absorbed, he even had a first poop in the shell. I had to cull. I had seen this only two times but they never lived, usually died in the shell. poor guy. the other egg chick was upsidedown and couldnt get out as I figured, another female.

Incubator is bleached, sterilized and up and running to dry out. I think kiddo has orders coming in today for serama chicks, and I think I have a order for CCL now that I started hatching. DID I ?

Poor little guy. I had one of my eggs die too. Even knowing it was likely and is still likely to lose some of the remaining 26 I'm still a little sad.

You'll have an order from me for eggs in the spring i think. Giant blue eggs! woot.

@Sally Sunshine I didn't know breeders had secret mix breed formulas for things! Maybe I will have to come up with my own! (gonna be hard with the no rooster ordinance) lol

Have 12 out 4 barred rocks 4 silver laced Wyandotte and 4 mystery chicks I got from someone and they're not even sure who they came from lol. I still have 12 more eggs to go and all but 4 of those have pips or have started zipping. It's going to be a long day at work waiting to see who else came out.

Congratulations!

Sally, you asked if I am feeling better..physically yes..thank goodness, but I'm sooo sad. My little white one didn't make it.

It's belly was soo big. It cried all night long. Something just wastn' right in there, and that baby hatched on it's own, crawled around like it was doing well, first time this has happened to me when a chick has acted fine after hatching on it's own. Man it was beautiful too. My last baby hatched early this morning. So 6 hatched, 5 made it.

And, my favorite leghorn has had something going on with her leg. It seems to be up in the hip. No open sores. She's pulled it somehow. Now, she is just laying around, didn't roost last night, not sure I want her to go on like this. It seemed to be getting better, then, back to laying around again. Love her. :(
When it rains bad chicken days, it seems to pour. I've been working on two bumble foot too. At least they are healing well, they usually do well once removed.

My Broody's still sitting tight, but I've heard no peeping... I really hope she gets at least one chick, but it doesn't look good.
