The wee ones toes are great. No shoes required. It just needed some time. What sweet babies. .it doesn't spaz like chicks do it just looks at me like please hold me! Lol! They are going to be so much fun to raise. The other 2 are still pipped and alive. The last which was right on track for weight is taking its sweet time. No pip yet

Here is the cutie fluffed and adorable! I wish these others would hatch already this loner just cries and I can only hold it for so long. I put a little stuffed animal with it but I guess it's not fooled!

If it has been over 24 hrs. since they pipped, you may need to consider helping them out a little. Many will pip and then never unzip, without assistance they often die in the shell. Have you read up on assisted hatching?

I have and I've done them before but I believe the only reason they externally pipped is because they didn't pip in the air cell. The 2 that are pipped are both below it. 1 of them that pipped with the one that hatched when I removed the babe I went ahead and removed a bit of the shell and there was blood so I let it be. It's entire beak is out but hasn't made any attempt to zip. The other is pipped but I haven't wanted to open the bator to check on it just because I figure it's the same. It has been what...34 hours since the one pipped with the hatched. The veins are receding and if it goes much longer I'll help but today is just day 28 and I'm betting it's all because they basically skipped the internal pipping part of the hatch process.

Sounds like you have it well in hand. My 2 only ended up losing about 11.5% of their weight, and your's lost a lot more didn't they? Do you think maybe they lost so much they didn't have quite enough room to get positioned correctly? It seems unusual to have 2 that pip outside the air cell.
