2017 Gosling Hatch a long!!

I do wish you luck with your gander. In no offense, are you positive that he's a male? If he's not mating, he may wind up being a female. If not, you might be able to try keeping your geese in the future and simply getting another gander, seeing as he doesn't suit your needs.

After going on 6 years old I know hes a gander and I don't plan on getting rid of my big boy lol I know he mates my goose just not the new one hes not when i had 3 females he was getting aggressive towards me because all three were biting him to be mated when he mated one the other two would bite him etc

It seems he's found his mate. Geese will exhibit behavior similar to marriage, so he's probably fixated on that one. I do see where you're coming from, my animals are my babies and I wouldn't sell them for anything!

He must be a faithful man lol and after i snuggled them as babies im not selling my original two lol

I've never seen females get aggressive and bite a male while he was breeding another female. When I had 26 geese I had 6 ganders and the rest were girls. When one gander would breed a female it was the males that would bite him and attack him.
Never had an infertile egg either, with those numbers. Out of all the eggs(many many eggs lol) I incubated the ones that didn't hatch were fertile they just ended part way through with a blood ring.

My goose will start biting me to mate her until i touch her neck then he hops ontop and finishes lol

Sorry to butt it in, but what exactly is a hatch-a-long? Obviously it has something to do with hatching geese so I guess I'd be somewhere in this category xD.

Anyway, I currently have 4 eggs in my incubator with little beans as children within the shells. 1 older egg hatched yesterday and he's definitely a nibbler lol. All of the young have a chance of being an Embden x Pilgrim/ Embden x Toulouse/ Purebred Embden. So we have a bit of variety on our hands.

A hatch a long is just that...your hatching goose eggs everyone here is goose hatching eggs so your hatching along with the rest of us lol

I moved into this place last year and the geese were sitting on eggs. Just before they should've hatched, something got them. They've laid early this year and she has 10 eggs. She's not really on the nest so idk if that's normal and what I can do to prevent something from getting her eggs again.
