I agree, the heat test works on bad eggs. All mine past that test and all five where duds or died.

Sorry I haven't replied on here for so long. I just found out that egg number 4 is rotten. I smelled something awful when I was turning them this morning. Today is the day that I needed to weigh them and when I weighed them I figured out which one stunk. How would I dispose of a rotten emu egg?
I am weird I always open them to see what happened. Then I put them in my compost.Sorry I haven't replied on here for so long. I just found out that egg number 4 is rotten. I wish I knew how to post a video or a picture on here. Two of these eggs we think are double yoke twins 800+ grams at start. On is day 42 and one is day 18. Wait and see...Wait and some more wait. LOL
I have the top of the egg marked so when I wiggle test i set them on a smooth flat surface & let them roll to the position it stops at. Seems to wake them up a bit. Like FishMtFarm said, once you see one wiggle you’ll know it. Eyes may play tricks on you at first but you can’t miss it when it’s a chick. Tap the egg with your fingernail & whistle. If no movement after 5 minutes, put it back & try again later.
I personally haven’t found the temp test very accurate. The air cell gets cool rather quickly but even a bad egg will remain warm on the end where the contents are
Ok, so I won't be getting emus for a LONG time, but where do you buy a fertile emu eggs?
