I honestly think that would already be a wonderful thread to follow! Even if they aren't the oldest they're certainly older than any geese I've seen!

Frozen veggies that you've thawed are also fun treats for them. Mine always mumble to themselves grabbing them up. They get grapes too on occasion if there are a couple of yucky ones in the bunch.

Aww Looks like ya'l have been getting alot of rain too.

Yes we have . Their feathers aren't very waterproof anymore so they were not happy because I had them locked up in a barn to keep dry!

So good and bad news,

Bad news first : with the 3 goose eggs that are hatching around now 1 gosling pipped but didn't make it and it was a buff gosling I opened the incubator too much as I had chicks hatching at the same time which I know is the reason of my loss.

Keep your incubators closed at all times during the last 3 days of incubation folks!

Good news! One gosling (Brown) hatched yesterday! I'm taking him out of the incubator tomorrow and yes of course there will be pics

The 3rd egg is still not ready for another few days and I stopped turning the egg's 4 days ago so the 3rd egg might not make it but finger's crossed

Since I was sad the buff didn't make it and my females seem to make no effort to start brooding I decided to grab all 15 eggs from both nests (leaving one egg in each nest although) and will put them all in the incubator once the 3rd egg hatches

I am in great anticipation for the gosling pictures! It has been so long since I have had a baby (5 yeas)!

I shall get some the next time I am at the store, I am aware that they don't get the best foraging diet anymore and I am always looking for ideas and suggestions that would give them a boost! Thank you!!!

She said he adored them. Mine are grown and just gave them the ol' disgusted side-eye. I wet them down now and mix them in with everyone's feed. There's still nothing green here but pine needles. I figure it's gotta be good for them... high in protein, nice and green... They do eat it that way.
