That’s advice sounds awesome! I’m praying he slips out on his own!! Looks like he’s already trying to stretch the membrane@Kelyon Im not a pro, but for now Id keep wetting it with the q tip when it dries again, keep doing that, but do not pull the membrane at all just keep wetting. And hopefully it should slowly absorb the yolk and veins. Very very slow business :barrie and nervingAnd if when you see no more blood vessels after some hours then you can VERY carefully and slowly peel the membrane.
If he only has to absorb the yoke, put him gently in a tiny cup (called the 'duck in a cup') so he won't move and pull at his 'umbilical cord'. And then let him sit and absorb the yoke
Hopefully it will an occasion you don't have to do it
Best wishes!
Ps.In advance, I apologise if my advice is not helpful.
Great! Hope he absorbs it all quicklyThat’s advice sounds awesome! I’m praying he slips out on his own!! Looks like he’s already trying to stretch the membranethanks for your help!!
Thats a good point... I shall use oil in future...Yes water in my experience doesn't work. You need oil. Water evaporates and dries out fast again. I use coconut oil and the membrane stays nice and moist. You can see veins in that membrane so don't try to take it off or he will bleed to death. He needs to absorb the yolk and that blood.
