my own chicken have 120 sq foot of space for 2 hens and the chick will move in when it’s old enough - plus the majority of the outdoor runs are 6’ high. According to all the books I have room for 6 birds . My friends house rooster has 2500 sq feet plushis outdoor 8x8x8 play area@brahmachicken240. That pen and coop in the picture is tiny, how many birds do you have ? Where’s the grass/dirt ?

- yes a house rooster it has an outdoor aviary for day and an inside habitat for night so the raccoons don’t eat him. His name is mr Martinez and was a school rooster. That’s him up top- he’s a bantam rooster who is quite handsome
View attachment 1638835 His outdoor area is 8x8x8- he has both lava stone and concrete and his “dad” is a former vet tech and president of a local bird club.
I’m am quite sure he is happier being a house rooster than a cull rooster.
This thread was about my chick-it’s breed and sex. Hopefully it goes back to that.
House chickens are very common.Never knew a chicken could be a vet. And what do you mean a “house rooster” or a “cull rooster” there’s such thing as a normal farm rooster you know.
Didn’t even know there was such thing as a house chicken till I saw this thread.
