3 week barred rocks

Generally by 4-5 weeks BR cockerel have bright red combs and wattles, and they are much lighter in color.

I used to have pictures, but I'm afraid I got rid of them.

Of course it's easier for me to be confident when they aren't my chicks. I see nothing that says roos.

I have a picture of my Barred Rock Bantam cockerel at 2-3 weeks and he already had more comb than she does!

Here is a barred rock pullet next to her barred rock brother for you to see the difference in feather colour/pattern.

And a better photo of the cockerel next to his cross breed siblings who look like female barred rocks.

oh I love his little face. I see just how RED the comb is, and the wattles. and how much lighter his color is overall. this is a great comparison photo! thanks!
