Few weeks ago I fell victim to TSC late season chick days. It appears my "assorted bantam" bin gave me a cochin. I was in the coop/brooder tonight checking over everyone and noticed tell-tale redness of a young cockerel. These babies are only 3 weeks old. I don't want to be right but "it" is a "he" isn't he?

I am not sure. The comb still looks really yellow to me...so maybe it could be a girl. I got three partridge bantam cochins this year and they had me fooled...all three were male and i thought i had 2 females. There was a lot of variation in feathering and comb size and color.

Having another roo doesn't bother me. I have 22 hens so it's ok. I just hope that all 5 babies aren't roos! Others are 2 silkies and 2 polish. I'll have to wait and see with them!

3 weeks seems a little soon but I'll be happy to have you take a guess!
