2 chicks hatched last night. I'm very impressed with the foot feathering on the 2 so far.

Cute!! I went to the feed store today and came home with a cochin chick. I wanted the broody and it was there... i had to!! Curious to see if its going to be ok quality. Has decent foot feathers which is nice!

If a chick comes from a feed store it will not be quality. There is no way a hatchery is willing to spend $75 plus per bird for breeding pens. Usually hatchery cochins have decent foot feathering and color but horrible cushions and they usually have blue feet and beak.

oh I know that. I am not planning on showing it unless for some reason it does turn out nice. I did get a pretty good quality one years ago from the same hatchery but i think that was probably a fluke

Hi my name is junior and I am going to raise a market lamb for the fair. Does anybody know what I should feed it

I don't know sheep... someone else here might though! Your leader or the breeder that you got the lamb from should be able to help you though!

If it has black/blue feet and beak by time 2 weeks it is not SQ that is one of the easiest things to see right away
