40 Minute Hamburger Buns or Rolls

I made these tonight and they were wonderful. I had a little trouble handling the dough, but I think that I had it too soft and sticky., so instead of cutting the dough and forming into balls, I just globbed it onto the cookie sheet. They turned out "as advertised" anyway. I will make these often! Thanks for the recipe!!!

Your welcome...I'm betting this recipe would make great monkey bread....

Pinch off a piece of dough, dunk it in melted butter, then in cinnamon sugar and then put it in Bunt pan to rise and bake.

I have to try these! Thanks for sharing

They are absolutely yummy! I used a little whole wheat flour, because I had a little left, and they turned out super. Geez, amazing!!!

WOW! they look great now I really want to try them. Did you cut them out or just make a round ball? If you used a round ball how many ounces was it? I have a speciality pan for hamburger buns called a high top and will use that - but yours look perfect and uniform.

The original recipe said it made 12 rolls, so I just split the dough in half, then in half again. I then took those quarters, and made 3rds out of them, rolled them into balls, flattened them out, and put them on the pan, with parchment paper. They didnt look like they'd be big enough, but they turned out perfect.

Im going to freeze half of them and see how they turn out. Really a great recipe, amazingly fast and quick.

Sandee, you are so funny. They were, um...round...maybe golfball sized? Maybe not quite that big. All I know is, they didnt look like they'd be big enough for hamburger buns, but indeed they are.
