40 Minute Hamburger Buns or Rolls

I was reading your instructions…you do a great job of explaining by the way…much better than any I read on the net.

I was trying to visualize this in my head and got to wondering if you could make two or three long rolls. Sort of like you would if you were going to make a Challah braid and then cut the rolls into the lengths that you would need for your buns? Do you think that would work?

I can see that working.

Thanks guys...

Do these freeze well? I hope they do!?

I just put 24 buns in the freezer and making 24 more today for a BBQ we're having on Saturday. Will they be good?

Let us know how they turn out

I made these last Friday and used a few, froze the rest. They freeze very well. Granted, I took the last ones out of the freezer today so they weren't in there that long!

I did use bread flour and 1 cup was Whole Wheat. I also put a tablespoon less sugar in and we think they are fabulous. I will NEVER buy buns again! Thanks for the awesome recipe and I too will be trying hot dog buns!

Yup--gotta try these too! Thanks for the advice about adding less sugar. I am going to use mine as a side with beef/venison stew tonight. Is there anybody else out there that gets a craving for stew in 90 degree weather? I must be crazy thinking about it--we dont even have air conditioning and it is so humid....need to have my head examined! Terri O
