Aww beautiful dogs!

I just went to feed my sheep and wore a hat, which I don't normally do, sheep took one look at the hat decided I was a stranger and ran for the hills.
I knit this last year when I was on tenterhooks waiting for my first eggs to hatch.
I am a hat wearer and love it
Quote: The tape is so you don't lose heat, also put your thermometer on top of the eggs. I'm gald you are trying again. The project looks great.

I've always heard that bird eggs incubation periods are always in a multiple of 7, so if this is the case 28 days would be the correct amount of days.
Bird incubation periods vary greatly, but lots of them are in multiples of 7. Geese, pheasant, quail, duck (Muscovy) and more depending on the breed all have different incubation times. Lots of charts out there and lots of variations too

If you have a favorite plain crocheted hat pattern, you could use the rooster chart and plug it into your pattern. It might need a bit of tweaking because of the difference in size of knit and crochet stitches

Okay so I have these cats that keep coming in my yard, today they decided to come in when Zoe was out, first of all the big lug didn't notice the cat until we came right up to it by the coop, other one ran. Well the other bobtail female ran up a tree, all 80 + lbs of Zoe tries to climb tree. Cat just sits there and hisses, tries to scratch her eyes out, then the cat tries another tactic, it tried to pee on us. I gave up for a min. cat comes down, doesn't run, just stands there looking at Zoe like, "BRING IT ON DOG" so she did and the cat never backed down. It let me pet it and I left. Now my big dumb LGD is bonding with that cat. Probably trying to led her into a false sense of security, then it will eat my chicks
