Let's try that again. I set 19 Ameraucana eggs at 12:02pm today. Hopefully there will be a picture below...this time. I hope this is where I am supposed to post this.

I was sitting here about an hour ago, minding my own business, when I saw it. The cause of all my stress and worries, the owl!! It was flying down over my little tiny bantam chick (3 months old), a few feet from getting her. I think i almost broke down the door trying to get out there. my poor dog was chilling there in front of the door, lol she freaked out. I went out there screaming bloody murder, pretty much. I think the neighbors thought i was crazy

well I ran out there in our muddy (no grass yet

) yard with only some nice new white socks on my feet, when suddenly i didnt see it. Nor did i see my bantam, so I ran all over trying to find her, bc i didnt see the owl having anything, and about two ruined socks later, i found her.

im still having a heartattack.

Breathe! Then go get a shotgun. While its illegal to kill them you can scare the crap out of em! The hawks here have been really bad the last week or so, so the mrs and I have given them something to think about. shotguns, fireworks, flares. We've been making it known this is a no fly zone
