50 assorted ducklings from Holderreads Waterfowl WITH PICS!

50??? I would be going crazy swimming in poop! We have a lake / pond (about the size of 4 or 5 acres) behind our house. There were 6 ducks and 6 geese for a couple years and they pooped EVERYWHERE! I'm glad they are gone, though sadly a coyote found them on the island when the water froze over this past winter.

Well we are having them spend as much time as possible in their outdoor pen, I'm just bringing them into the house at night. If I had a garage or barn I'd be using it, but I don't! We managed this last year with the baby chicks but I am finding that even though we have fewer ducks, they make a lot more poo than chicks!

I did cover the entire room with tarps and the ducklings live on top of the tarp inside the brooder AND we are replacing the flooring in there as well. I have been using more "air freshener" than usual though!

The 11 ducklings I got from Holderreads last week are one week old today, and they're all living in my bedroom, because it's still too cold overnight to put them in the garage brooder without getting up every 2 hours to adjust the heat lamp.
