I’m not sure if this thread is still showing up in recent or if I should start a new one, but does anyone have experience with hens living through coccidiosis? How soon should I see a response from treatment?
My hen is not eating or drinking and is quite weak. She can still stand up and walk but not for long at all before she just sinks back down and goes to sleep. I’ve given her a drench dose of corid for two days; today will be the third and so far there’s no improvement. Is this normal for coccidiosis, or should I be seeing a quicker response? Also, I didn’t separate the sick hen from the others because she seems most content in her own environment, and I am treating all the water with corid. Is this enough to prevent the others from getting sick?
