Hi y’all, I wanted to get everyone thoughts on these two babies. I asked way to early in the game rookie move. Here are the feathered babies now

I think white is light Sussex ? Black black Orpington?

You have a Light Sussex cockerel and I'm pretty sure you have a Black Orpington pullet.

I think the black one looks like a pullet at this point, but the Light Sussex could be a cockerel however I'm really struggling with some of my own in the moment so I'm not the best person for it.

That bird is not a Black Orpington. They have white skin. Where was it purchased? Perhaps Asian Black or Jersey Giant

Thank you it’s been very confusing to me. They will be 7 weeks old in a couple days. I’m sure they are not pure but light Sussex always jumped at me and when I looked up buff Orpington black they look so similar , she’s sooo puffy like a big ball of feathers. I think white sussex is a male too still holding out a little hope after seeing females with large combs and wattles and bright red but I love him all the same
