8 week old silkies genders

Almost 11 weeks old. The red pyle has crowed a few times so everyone was right about him! Thought I'd update with some pictures taken today

About 13 weeks old. Red Pyle roo went to a new home, black one still looks exactly the same so still thinking female. Here are some updated pictures of the partridge we think is a male

Feet size are usually a BIG giveaway. How thick are the toes and and do they have a lot of feathers? Our roo had thick and feathered feet from week one!

Well the partridge started trying to crow every morning. So that makes 2 roos. Fingers crossed the black one doesn't fool us all and end up a roo too

An update and pictures for anyone who was curious. Out of the 5 chicks we started with only 2 were females. The black and the younger partridge chick (posted another thread about her). Absolutely gorgeous chicky babes We rehomed all the other roos and kept the gorgeous partridge boy
