Can a turkey get a sunburn?
X2.I'm so jealous
I set my stored turkey eggs yesterday. Remember a ways back me saying that I needed to halt hatching around the time my daughter's baby is due? And then R2elk and Sallysunsine gave me advice on storing hatching eggs long term? Well I have been putting them pointy side UP* in a small Rubbermaid tote in my walk in closet, because it gets freezing in there. (Not literally.) And with a damp sponge in the tote. I have 17 now in the 1588. My daughter's due date is April 15, and that makes my turkey hatch due date 3 weeks later. I shouldn't have to worry about any scheduling conflicts.![]()
Now just to keep my fingers crossed that the eggs are fertile, and storage was good.
*ETA: Pointy side up, not down!![]()
Yes but it is rare just as it is rare in dogs but can happen.

I find a little tin foil around the legs will stop them from burning most the time...![]()
