I use blukote some, it is over hyped Vetcyn or an antibiotic oinment or even bag balm seem to do as well.

I use "swat" during fly season to keep bugs out of wounds.

I tried using it last night, but she started slinging her head & I was afraid I got it In her eye. After I rinsed her Eye, I didn't try again.

I only get the dabber now..

Can I put antibiotic ointment on the turkeys head wound? I know you can with chickens if it doesn't have any pain medication in it.

I've used antibiotic ointment without pain reliever on turkeys with no problems....mine are a bit accident prone Blu kote also works well if it's a wound that others might peck at. Vetricyn is great for cleaning wounds, but if it looks infected I usually use antibiotic ointment after.

I just went & looked. It is actually called "pick no more". So, it's not blue kote like I said. I've taken some pictures of her injury. Is there a way to put a warning on them for people who don't want to see them?
