A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Baby update:
Last night, the baby kept going back and forth between looking like it was dying to looking ok so I just blended up a scrambled egg with some water and a couple drops of vitamins. I used an eye dropper and filled that little ones crop up. This morning, the only reason I know which one it is, is because it's the smallest in there. She's running around with everyone, no problem! She better stay that way now lol
Great News.:yesss:

So the county fair is going on this weekend. Only two turkeys being shown. Both not good looking hens. DANG I should have brought mine. With the new nest box design their feathers are in pristine condition!!! On the other hand, it scares me to expose them to other birds. How do you deal with that Ralph??

It is scary, but I have a huge quarantine area. So that helps. So far the worst I have gotten is bad egg eaters from it.

Poor Ethel Jr was hiding with her hound in some down trees last night during lock up and we didn't notice she was gone and something got her.... I feel terrible about this... She was such a good mom... Even though she flew into my shoulders and started attacking me... I sure will miss her...
So sorry. :hugs

I remember you talking about the egg eater. I think it would be fun to show the girls, just worried about problems developing.
Just talked to my turkey sitter. Girls are good and apparently laying like crazy. She has stolen all my turkey eggs! She has a party this afternoon and will be making deviled eggs from them!

I am so sorry, stinks when that happens. If you have more than a few birds it is easy to not notice one is missing at lock up.

I am fairly new here but I really enjoy all the off topic banter and different opinions. ... but it's the owner's prerogative as to what is appropriate. When visiting at someones house, if they say take your shoes off at the door I do.. (if you're at my house you better leave them on or your socks will be covered in dog/cat hair :lau )
