We have a crew of roofers here today.

Banshee already flew up to the roof to scare them off.

The dog won't stop barking because there are intruders.

My kids don't have school. They are cooped up because they are terrified the shingles will fly off the roof and kill them... they have some crazy imaginations.

My DH has been home from work all this week, supposedly "taking care of stuff around the house".

I think 11 am seems perfectly reasonable to start drinking alcohol today.

That is so true Memphis! 
But man, pick up a chicken with Banshee around... he gets ticked off!  He makes sure the chicken knows their place when I set them back down. 
I've put him in his place a couple of times.  He looks like a wounded puppy.

Did everyone see that Holm has a pic of one of his girls up on "pic of the week"?!  I'm so proud of our little Holm.  You should treat yourself with a nice strong Shirley Temple!

Eve gets very upset if I spend any time with a chicken. How dare they steal my attention from her! She puffs up into a strut and paces all around until I put the offending chicken down. If I'm sitting down though, she tries to peck the chicken until it leaves lol.

Except for the workers and the kids.
The DH is home doing stuff, the dogs are crazy with chasing thunder, the turkey is gobbling and strutting. I think the thunder and barking are upsetting him.

Quick question for you. Without any hens present to fight over and plenty of space to roam (1 acre at least), will 2 Toms get along? A friend has a lone Royal Palm and wants to get him a buddy, but I only have extra males. Don't want to give her bad advice and have it not work out. Thanks in advance!!

I have two Toms that are best friends. I free range except during breeding season. The two tome try to get together to hang out together during breeding time.

That does not mean they do not have their little snood pulling contest and chasing each other, BUT mainly they get along great. Right now with the young toms I have about a dozen hanging out and getting along.

I am going to share with you my homopathetic (that is not a spelling error, I coined that word) cure.
