A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Go for it! The ladies await!! And I cant wait for pictures of Adam strutting!

MM...neck feathers? Does Banshee have feathers on his/her neck & head?

My chickens could care less about rain. But when it's cold I keep them dry. I hate to put the girls go bed wet when it's cold. Speaking of...it may get down to 39 tomorrow night! Time to try the leggings on the turkeys! :D

. I know....39 is whoose territory!

But there is so much to be done before it gets cold! I need to find my socks. And a jacket!

It's in the mid 50's tonight. We are having a pretty mild fall. What's nasty here is the humidity. So even if it's only in the low 40's it really chills you. And our winters are wet. I hate a cold rain!

It is like that here too - cold and rainy. It's currently 44 with rain and lots of wind......brrrrr. Soaks you right through, yuck :/ On the plus side, the birds didn't require much convincing to go in tonight, the inside-out feathers were not keeping them as warm as they prefer :gig

That's good. :) I don't know if you have wormed your flock or not. But they do tend to look and act like they don't feel well when they need to be wormed. A lot of people use a lot of things to worm their poultry but I either use goat wormer pellets or Wazzine. Wazzine you add to the water one time and your done. That is what I like but I alternate them.

I'm using vinegar in their water.. I have some poultry antibiotics but it has to be a week I'm not eating the eggs from the chickens.
They are all doing well right now, but I will probably start on the actual antibiotics Monday and put all the eggs for the week on the incubator. I want to get an independent thermometer and humidity. . So I can verify the correct environment.
I saw a video with a guy feeding his chickens bread.. they were all so friendly. . I have been giving them all a little by hand... they all love it and take it right out of my hand.. it's lots of fun..It won't hurt them will it?

Yip, I'm about 20 miles north of little Rock so we have very similar weather. .
