R2elk....beautiful babies! Are they in lapper training yet? LOL!

The front took it's time. Lots of rain & wind but it seemed to calm down a bit by the time it got here. Really windy all day, hold onto your hat Rjohns. Thunder woke me up sometime last night. Highly annoying. Tore up Pine Bluff Arkansas ...about 2 hours west of here. Cindy, I just might trade our weekly tornadoes for some of your weather at this point.
Looking at the radar, it looks like it's still hitting you, but getting closer to me. The front appears to have split into a northern and southern piece.

Oh I would love that little mottled R2elk! Think I could stuff it under the seat in front of me on a plane??
You know I'm teasing you about lappers. BUT...one lapper wouldn't hurt anything...would it??
Yes Rjohns...still getting soaked over here. Trees are falling over all around town. Rush hour traffic wrecks everywhere. Some flooded roads.
These fronts do seem to go either north or south of us. Memphis is actually on a bluff. As these storms come across the flat delta of Arkansas they seem to split when they reach the Mississippi and the bluff we are on.

We get rain like that sometimes. The big cottonwoods in town do just kind of slump over. The ground is too soft and their roots too shallow. I never saw anything like that in FL. The trees there have to be able to stand up to rain with nothing much but sand to hang on to. Trees just falling over is so weird to me.

We have snow on the ground and in the pines. Again. I’m told we’re supposed to get a couple days of near-spring temps this weekend. :fl
