Eventually as they mature your turkeys are very likely to start attacking your ducks.

Hi.
My turkeys seem to have a fixation with my ducks feet. Doesn't matter the color. The turkeys chase the ducks all over the place trying to get there feet. Is this somthing the turkeys will grow out off? My turkeys are still young. 2.5 months old.

I've never had that issue. I did have a turkey hen being aggressive towards one of my geese, so I split them up. But none of them have ever gone after the ducks. Might be safer to separate them.

Unfortunately a little bit hard to tell from this picture. Could be an Oregon Gray.
Do you know anything about its parents?

It came from a mixed pen of pencilled and tiger blues. What kind of turkey do you have in your picture? That is so pretty!

You don't raise your turkeys with your ducks.

That's really odd, because this poult is bronze-based and neither pencilled, nor tiger blues are bronze-based. Do you have any other turkeys, or can you show some pics of your turkeys?

I bought the hatching eggs from a Facebook seller so they could have been wrong about the parents. It is the only one that hatched. I guess I will just have to wait and see.

Oh ok. I can tell you for sure, that it won't have any pencilling. Pencilling will only show on black-winged-bronze-based varieties.

That brings up the question of why penciling shows on the recessive slates that are said to not be black-winged bronze based?

A normal Recessive Slate is bronze-based, they won't show pencilling, but you could make a BWB version that would show pencilling (b'b' slsl).
