If you have enough vodka the day before they are to hatch, you can break into the packages and peek then put them back "under the tree" aka back into the incubator.

Remember superglue is needed to rewrap them!

Was up to 8 pipped.

Took a nap.

Woke up and 1 has hatched. Looks like a palm.
1 is zipping good. The rest of the eggs the hatched one has moved around so can't see any progress.

The one that's out looks healthy moving and cheeping.

Hope its a good cheerleader for the rest.

Had 6 babies running around bator this morning.

When I left for work. I'm getting the rainbow no 2 look alike.

Maybe rest be out when I get home tonight.

I lost one of my little poults the other day. I wasn't surprised though unfortunately. It hasn't really grown since I brought it home and was just kinda sitting under the heat lamp. The other 8 all look healthy and happy though :) congrats to everyone with new babies!

I am sorry you lost one. But it does happen that one fails to thrive now and then. Congrats on the rest of your little ones!

Sorry you lost a poult.

I had one the same. He made it almost a month but he just didn't develop like the others.

He passed yesterday afternoon.

I lost one today, very unexpected!

We had taken one out of the "kindergarten" class and moved it back to pre-school in our living room, we picked a friend for it to keep it company. The one we wanted upstairs kept flipping over on it's back and looking dead. Both my Dw and myself picked her up several times think she was dead only to have her protest. We started cuddling her whenever she played dead. Now she is doing fine and almost ready to go back down to kindergarten.

BUT when I checked on the kindergarteners I found one that was really dead and not playing. I thought they were all healthy and doing well. The one that died was about 10 days old.

You can never tell with chicks or Poults, when they want to die, they just do.

BTW there is a possibility the one that played dead was doing this just to get cuddled, she appears to really like it, When we hold her she closes her eyes and nods off in our hands.
