Looks like the hens did pretty good this time. When the turkey get older you may have a problem.

Mine got along pretty well till they got breeding age then I have to split them up.

I only havr this problem when the poults r teens and wanted to fight anything that moves.

Holm That turkey must have been a complete (you know what) for a Cochin hen to strike at it, there is nothing more mellow than them..

Hi, mind if I join in? My standard bronze hen wouldn't commit to brooding so i incubated a few of her eggs. The poults are about 2 months old now. One has a deformed wing and can't fly. How will that affect him? Will it shorten his life expectancy or is it just an inconvenience?

How long do you expect him to live?

Will he make it past thanksgiving even with a good wing?

Then when I tell her I was wrong he was just sleeping she will be so relieved and happy she won't even witch at me for drinking the last 2 mikes today..
