A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I think it takes 28 days to hatch. Holm's turkey hen thinks she's a chicken. I believe he is sending her to Ralphie for counseling.

Ralphie. ..what could the sweet little Penguin possibly be doing to bring the rath of your DW? I think he's just fallen in with the wrong crowd during your prolonged absence.

Holm has not sent the turkey to me for consoling yet. I think he is making the classical error of trying to find a cut rate turkey consoler. I admit $500 an hour can seem steep to some, but I am well worth it.

As to Penguin, he was just hatched a butt head! He was spoiled by my DW because he was cute as a baby. He is the only "dark colored" turkey I have left of the non-BBB type. He just seems to think he can do what he wants when he wants. He is especially a PITA when it is time for bed.
I think he wants to be a guinea fowl. He behaves like one.

Ugg...it won't quit raining. Started Saturday. We needed it, but enough already! It's just mushy now. However, I'm still getting turkey eggs from Daisy. I'm surprised she's laying this late in the season.

Ralphie, sounds like Penguin is in need of some consoling!

How are the Speckled Sussex doing?

Penguin is beyond consoling. I am afraid incarceration is next. He should walk a tight line I have no need for a Black/bronze or whatever he is Tom. He is not even on my short list of Toms I will use for breeding next year.

He could find himself riding in the plastic lined truck of the Nice Asian Lady from St Paul......

I think Penguin is just going through his rowdy adolescent stage! He probably needs extra attention from you.

Daisy just layed another egg. Geez.

What is the standard turkey molt pattern? Where do they loose feathers first?

Anyone interested in trading weather with me?

It is currently 34 degree and snowing/sleeting, the wind is cold from the NW at about 25mph.

My Turkeys all went into their coop that's how bad it is..

Here is a hint to my plans for the rest of the day:

I did not have a picture handy of the Cinnamon Liqueur I plan to add to the mix. I was to lazy to walk the 10 feet to get a picture of it.

Oh and my Lazy boy recliner and a pillow could be in my future today also.
