I am ready for him now! They each have a 6x6 cage and a 4x2 room. That should do for now. I will increase the cages to 6x12 over the spring here.

Think that's enough space? The cages are 40 inches tall.

They have a roost in the building 28 inches off the floor.

Look at my little bantam turkey egg. I've had 3 so far. The yolk is about bantam chicken size. The last picture is beside a large chicken egg. I've never gotten a turkey egg this small.

Big Bird (I think) laid a shell-less egg followed by a regular egg and then stopped laying for over a week (while she was pretending to be broody). She's no longer really acting broody, but I found another shell-less egg today that looks turkey-sized. I hope everything's okay and it's just her systems getting going again....will have to keep an eye on her. Coco hasn't laid an egg yet that I know about. She's about the same age as Big Bird, so I'll have to start hunting when I see her squatting lol.

I had quite a few shell-less turkey eggs a couple years ago from some new layers. Then they started laying normal and no problems after that.

Hopefully this means eggs soon! She has started looking around the wood pile lately so I think shes gonna make a nest there! Even my Muscovy has started laying and started looking in the wood pile alot! So I put strw over by the Muscovy hen and she hasn't used it yet but hopefully soon! And the turkey hen got some straw where she has been. I will get pics of there nests today.

Oh and Mr. T is grounded! He is in "jail" for abuse to fellow friends. He started a fight yesterday with my muscovy drake who beat the crap out of Mr. T! I would be mad at the Muscovy if Mr. T wouldnt have started it!
