I'm betting Daisy will be laying within a month. Annie, I can't tell. I will say, the girls are loving this brisk weather! They act like a couple of silly poults zooming & flapping around the yard.

Mine are all fluffed up, shivering, and bugging to be cuddled (to keep warm I'm sure lol)

Mine just keep looking outside and looking at me like "the weather is broken, fix it". I hate the rainy season when it doesn't give you any breaks. But hopefully they can get some free run time over the next few days since I'll be home during the day

Remember today is not just about family. This is the worst day of the year in a turkeys life. More turkeys die because of this day than any other day.

If your turkey is acting depressed he could very well T-Day Traumatic Stress Syndrome. If your turkey is acting weird in any manner, PLEASE sit him down offer him a beer and just be a good buddy and listen to what he says/ Pay attention to his underline mental condition. Reassure him he is loved no matter what happens. Try to convince him none of us know the future, but he will most likely be okay. This will help on this terrible day.


You should know Turkeys pay attention to detail. DO NOT TALK TO YOUR TURKEY WITH A PIECE OF TURKEY STUCK BETWEEN YOUR TEETH. They could become violent if you do.

Its actually a fun time of the year with so much attention being payed to turkeys. LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving!! Told my family and friends I've ate my last store bought turkey!!!

Happy Thanksgiving (45 minutes before midnight on my side of the world). The turkeys enjoyed a day of sun, had a couple pieces of bread and some pinon (pine nuts) they told the mother in law happy thanksgiving and then went to the coop.
