A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

A couple go all the way around like where the air pocket is at one end. I’m gonna go out tonight and make a very detailed inventory. I marked them the other night x for possible bad 1 for starting to show veins and 2 for sure things-movement. I’m planning to write down eAch eggs appearance and hopefully can use the websites and pics to get an idea of rough hatching date. Know I’m still a good week out on the first ones. Also fairly sure our older white silkie got a couple of blank eggs in there when mom first started sitting. Oh and don’t be too jealous- NONE of the other birds are laying. At all. Gonna put a light in when it gets a bit cooler but for now just letting them rest. Also looking at the possibility of needing a small homemade incubator and brooder. Just in case. What do you all think? Make them just Incase or just let nature take its course?

Here’s a few new pics Very pleased with the progression. Looks like we now have 17 total. One was for sure no good. We have 4 with either the weird bloodline-got pics of finally- or no movement or veins. So fairly certain they aren’t gonna pass the next candling. Then there are 10 that are moving and lots of veins. 5 of those are getting within 5-7 days of hatching by my guess. Very full and dark with lots of moving around. Believe I could make out feet in the shadows and moving. Then there are 3 that are not as far along in development but saw slight movements and considerable veins. Believe they will hatch but maybe a wee or so behind the others. Mom is doing great-eating and drinking good and stays on almost constantly. Will post a few pics. Let me know if you can tell how far along they are or if there are ones that show signs of not making it. Thanks for any info or tips to help this go as good as it can for her first time as well as Mine!! These first pics are all ones I believe are either dead or not even fertile to begin with. If you agree I’ll gonahead and pull them so she has more room for the good ones.

If the 4 in pics were mine I would probably pitch them if they were at 14 days or older in the incubation process

if the eggs didn't get sat on the same start date, they will be a stager hatch.. she will either leave the nest 3 days after the first hatched, or neglect the ones that hatch to keep sitting on the ones that are left(less likely) .. so you will either need to pull the ones as they hatch and put in a brooder or get an incubator for the ones that are left.
