Seems turkeys are rather resilient. Daisy was not tame when I caught her. Now she's my little shadow. JJ went through a bad time & ended up being a great guy. Interesting...
Little poults are calming down. Have a chair right next to their cage. A box fan hanging next to me on the other side. Then Daisy hops in my lap to enjoy the fan & take a nap. I end up using her to prop up my laptop. So we are a sight. I don't think Daisy is jealous, but she sure isn't letting me get away without her snood scratches & walks. She likes her attention.

well i found another issue with infertility problems with my turkeys, i was watching my turkeys (my tom isn't secretive about when he breeds his hens), but i watched a hen show that she wanted to be bred, and all he did was strut/dance around her until she decided he took too long...
The best thing i can think of is getting a 2nd tom and put him in a pen next to them so as to make it look like my tom has some competition, but i don't have permission from my parents to get a 2nd tom as an adult (unless its free)

Personally, I think doing that would cause the boys to be too occupied with fighting/arguing through the fence to actually breed the hens

I had several toms and when I locked 2 up the chosen one would just pace the fence and ignore the wanton hens .. if I left 2 out the one would knock the other off the hen. So I keep a spare tom over winter and in the spring send him to freezer camp

I am going to let her hatch them up there..

I have an eery feeling crawling up a 18 ft step ladder to remove her and her eggs could result in me trying to bounce off the cement floor.

Broody turkeys seldom welcome my attention.
