A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Our neighborhood is busy getting ready for our 4th parade. Everyone's yard is groomed. All houses are decorated. Most dogs are sporting red, white & blue bandanas. As are their owners. This is our 70th year! Hot as h***. Floats all ready. Kids getting bikes decorated! We have hundreds of folks each year. Neighborhood cookout tonight. R2elk, no hamburger for me....sausage only!
Been working in the front under Daisy's supervision. Neighbors wandering around everywhere...much to her delight! Shes such a social gadfly. I think I had a dozen kids sitting around in the front yard with her going from lap to lap. I was weeding & eavesdrops on them. Big discussion about decorating bikes. Most decided Daisy should ride on the firetruck. Kids were so good....just let Daisy casually wander amongst them. They all understand she is banded from all 4th parade activities. Too much chaos. Too many strange dogs. Grown ups got a kick out of all the kids sitting around with a turkey and not the conventional puppy. And happy their kids are outside & not on a device!

Your neighborhood sounds so awesome! I love living out away from most people but if I had to live amongst people, I'd want to live there :)

Hi Grammy....welcome!

I do like my neighbors Aurora. No real jerks. Daisy sure likes them all! LOL!!

Will be sporting my coonhound to the events on the 4th. I'll let you know how many people call him a beagle! We get that alot! He's so big....a beagle could literally walk underneath him. Other than color, he doesn't even look like a beagle. Of course when those guineas were loose folks thought they were my turkeys....sigh....

Grrr - something is wrong. It won't let me "like" a post - just hangs.

duluthralphie, I saw this today and realized someone had seen you and was able to finally diagnose you with this ailment.

A friend of mine got a blood hound... it’s a great drooler. It stares at me and I am not sure if it is happy, sad or mad....I sometimes wonder if there is anyone home inside that head..

Bantambird, I'm confused too. They only want BBbirds? But heritage birds are a big trend in food right now....
Fred...you lurker you! Glad your chiming in. Your poults look good! Would love more pics!
Aurora....hoard those penciled!
Well, if a heritage bird could meet their weight restrictions, I could take one, but the jennys must be over 18 lbs and the jakes over 25 lbs at check in and must be 6 months or younger. My adult toms reach 25 lbs after they reach a year...
